About Me

I’m an Accredited Social Worker, Counsellor, and certified Motherhood Studies Practitioner with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and families through complex life challenges. I’m also a mother to three vibrant little humans - an experience that deeply informs the work I do now with women navigating the transition into, and through, motherhood.

I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, safe, and supported to heal, grow, and reclaim the parts of themselves they may have had to bury. Whether you're recovering from trauma, redefining your identity in motherhood, or simply seeking a space to reconnect with your values - you're welcome here.

MY APPROACH

I don’t believe in quick fixes or surface-level solutions. Healing is rarely linear, and meaningful change often asks us to sit with discomfort, grief, and uncertainty. My role isn’t to direct your path, but to walk beside you as you explore it - with compassion, curiosity, and integrity.

My practice is grounded in trauma-informed principles, feminist theory, and a deep respect for the wisdom you already hold. I offer a warm, personalised approach that honours your lived experience and centres your autonomy. Together, we create a space where you can unpack what’s heavy, find clarity, and begin to move forward in a way that feels real and right for you.

WHY MOTHERHOOD AND TRAUMA WORK

For many years I worked across various sectors in child protection and family support before moving into trauma counselling. Over this time, I have supported adults, young people, children, and families facing deeply complex challenges.

But when I became a mother in 2019, my own experience shifted everything. I began to see more clearly the deep, systemic pressures placed on women, particularly mothers - the ‘shoulds’, the silence, the self-sacrifice. I realised how little space our culture makes for mothers to be human, vulnerable, or supported beyond the needs of their child.

This led me to expand my work, diving deeper into the study of maternal wellbeing, perinatal mental health, and motherhood identity. I now offer a dual focus; supporting adults healing from trauma (including sexual assault, domestic violence, and childhood abuse or neglect) and working with mothers and mothers-to-be to reflect on, reclaim, and recreate their experience of motherhood on their own terms.

These experiences have shaped me into a practitioner who is not only clinically trained, but deeply relational, reflective, and grounded in strong values. I strive to hold space with care, presence, and respect - creating an environment where people feel safe enough to bring their full selves, and supported enough to explore what truly matters to them.
