About Me

I am a qualified Accredited Social Worker, Counsellor, and Motherhood Studies Practitioner. I am also a mum of two busy little people. Personally and professionally, I am a strong believer in working through the challenges that life throws us, letting go of what we no longer need to carry with us, and embracing the strength and resilience we gain from these challenges. I am especially passionate and dedicated to providing a safe and personalised service to assist people to grow, transform, heal, and achieve their goals .

Outside of work, I enjoy being in nature, appreciating yummy food, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Experience

EXPERIENCE

I have 15 years professional experience in the human welfare sector, providing services to families, women, men, young people and children. Over the course of my career, my primary focus has been in working with individuals and families, in areas of general support, child protection, substance misuse, mental health challenges, and trauma counselling.

Since becoming a mum myself in 2019, I have been interested in how our society sees and values women and the role of mothering. I am interested in how social constraints, expectations, and norms (the 'shoulds'), impact on the transition into motherhood (from pre-conception, through pregnancy, and to birth and beyond) and a mother's mental health and wellbeing. This has led me to undertake further study and broaden my counselling practice, strengthening my knowledge and work in the motherhood and perinatal mental health field. I now also work with mothers to create and claim the motherhood experience they want for themselves, and their family
